Rural Holidays NZ Ltd Christchurch Newsletter,
Today RHNZ remains "the
only original one owner operated company in the farm and home stay Hosting industry since
establishment in 1983"
Hello Christchurch dinner hosts,
With the tour season now finished, I wished to make contact with everyone to say thank you for the hospitality you have provided to our important overseas visitor guests.
Looking ahead to next season 2016/17
The SCENIC series will be repeated next season along with various 'custom' one off tours.
Dates will advised during August.
Overall rating and delivery has been very good by hosts. I have say as organizer, it is important we keep a fresh look on the experience we provide from guest pickup, to their later return. I must say I am always pleased to close the file I am holding after hosts have been and collected their guests, knowing at that point, everyone has been countered for!
My company started with a blank canvas at the start of season in September 2015. By this I mean our data base had just six original hosts, due to losing the majority to the earthquakes. After extensive and costly advertising, saw another fifteen or so come on board, most with previous hosting experience having worked for another companies.
Currently we operate dinner program also in Auckland and Rotorua. The Auckland dinner was previously based in Christchurch but moved north after the February 2011 earthquake, and not returned to the city following major changes to the overall tour itinerary.
In addition, RHNZ operates several lunch series in both North and South Islands. So we are both rural and urban, the home stay part of our name referring in part to our urban operation.
In future I intend to use Newsletters to a greater extend to keep everyone in the loop, but if you have a suggestion or a concern, please always feel to contact myself directly.
A further reminder for those new hosts who are not so familiar with how our payment cycle, here is how it works-
1]. If you hosted guests say prior to and including the 15 th of the month, payment is made on the 15th of the month following.
2]. Guests hosted say between the 16 th and the end of the month, payment is made on the last day of month following.
The reason for this is that few tour companies actually pay on time and we need to spread the load on our bank account to accommodate this.
Our rates are reviewed every 12 months to both hosts and our supplier tour companies. Rates to tour companies are required to be set minimum 2 years in advance.
A new rate for next season will be $55 per adult.
